Yahoo Launches Personalized Search

Personal Search services like Rollyo allow users to create personal search engines using only trusted sources. For instance you may want to create a search that only looks at informational sites for research, and does not return commercial links for products. Using a personalized search service this 'Reference Search' would only return results from site you tell it search. For example you may use wikipedia.org, answers.com, encyclopedia.com, dictionary.reference.com, infoplease.com, refdesk.com, about.com and britannica.com. Rollyo has been seen as one of those Web 2.0 sites that hasn't quite made it big - largely because their audience is conceptually trailing behind their service. This move by Yahoo! not only differetiates them from Google, but seems to affirm Rollyo's belief that the market is in fact viable.
